Since I noticed everyone and their dog has a blog, I wanted one too. I wasnt planning on starting one until I got to Australia, but what the heck I am that kid who is willing to jump with everyone else.
So I am home now. It is difficult, but my heart is alive. I feel the pain of my family, I feel the pain of the men in my life. The only thing I am left to do is to sit in the presence of my heavenly father to ask him to clarify what is truth and what is a lie.
I am learning how to offer my heart, and in what context. I am asking God to show me when I am safe to be vulnerable, and when he is asking me to be vulnerable even when it is not safe.
One of the biggest blessings God gave me in Annapolis (I was there for my brothers graduation), was my uncle Jim. He offered his heart to me. He asked me questions about my life, and he treated me like a woman. I would awaken in the morning and he would offer me a cup of coffee and a hug with a big smile. When I went to the graduation ball his eyes lite up with excitement to see me in a formal gown. He took picture after picture, and followed me around until I left for the ball. He treated me with the value I have, what a GIFT!
Well that is life so far. Swim Team practice starts tomorrow, I am excited to see the kids since they are the reason I am working in Nebraska!
